1939-1941 Studied at Kawabata(川瑞) School of Painting, Japan
1943-1946 Worked as a journalist(illustrator) at the Cultural Department of Manju Ilbo Corporation’s Andong News
1947-1950 Worked as an art teacher at Mokpo School of Education, Muntae Middle School, Mokpo Girls’ Middle School, Korea
1950 Mokpo Regional Charman of Culture and Art Alliance
1951 Joined the North Korean partisan actions and moved to Jirisan Mountain
1953-1956 Worked as an art teacher at Mokpo Girls’ Middle and High School
1953 Founded Yang Sooa Western Art Institute to train pupils
1956-1961 Worked as an art teacher at Gwangju School of Education
1959-1969 Selected as an invited artist of Chosun Ilbo Contemporary Art Exhibition
1961 Opened Yang Sooa Studio in Gwangju and trained various pupils(Lee Taegil, Choi Jongseob, Kim Jongil, and more)
